Dr. Alexia Mays

Dr. Alexia Mays is the legacy of Jesse and Leona Mays who stood on the front lines fighting for equal rights, standing against segregation and paving the way for future generations to follow. 

 

A Cancer survivor and Sickle Cell Warrior, Alexia suffered the loss of her entire family by age 11. She has used her pain and turned it into purpose. 

 

Alexia is a research scientist who focuses her time on clinical research, equality In healthcare, policy, advocacy, political engagement and most importantly , working with legislators, candidates, organizations and associations to develop and execute policies to assist those in our most vulnerable communities. 

 

Her Story is one of overcoming, and reminds us that we can all overcome with Faith, Strength and Determination.

Dr. Mays is an innovator and leader with 25 years experience in rare disorder, research, policy, healthcare, minority equality, strategy, outreach and crisis management. 

She is a Visionary and Builder with deep education and experience in clinical research,  healthcare, political engagement, policy, strategy and outreach.

 

She is an effective communicator and motivator who identifies, researches, and assesses to reach goals. Dr. Mays is a relentless optimist who believes there is no failure, only feedback.

She has strong business and management principles as they pertain to development, research, targeting and and leading others. -Deep background scientific research, minority  targeting analytics with experience using project management and developer of CVP voting geographical targeting. 

 

She is a Motivated team player with excellent public speaking ability and oral, written, and interpersonal communication. -Initiator and problem-solver using creativity, resourcefulness, and assets to break down and overcome obstacles. -

Lifelong learner committed to staying on top of the best current and emerging research, outreach and  communication practices, especially in a research and targeting context. 

 

She is an attentive listener who is not afraid to incorporate the opinions of others into policy and planning.

 

Dr.Mays is a Public speaker and Panelist Expert on systematic racism in healthcare,  panel expert on rare disease, diversity and culture inclusion in politics and policy engagement, she is a  Data expert on Polling Inclusion in Race Related Demographics. Grassroots Specialist in Racial Demographic Outreach and Urban Minority Performance Data.
